A design student from Germany has created her own, spiky take on BMWò€™s future, the Lovos.

Anne Forschner, studying at Pforzheim University in Bretten, Germany, designed the Lovos to challenge the way we design, build and consume cars and other products.

Forschner built the majority of the car with 260 identical pieces of metal - the logic

behind it being that build and design costs and times are much lower

than usual when one component is repeated many times.

The Photovoltaic cells on the car aren"t just for show either, they can be used for a number of purposes. To power the car using the sunò€™s energy, as a pointy design cue or as air brakes.
