An elasticated strap...
An elasticated strap helps it fit over your head, so the device is especially useful when you’re working under the bonnet, which the maker says is one of the hardest places to shed light into. The lamp can be swivelled so you can shine it precisely where it’s needed. What’s more, it can be adjusted easily for brightness or extra-long life.
Comfort can often be a problem with head torches, but Frost claims the strap is easy to wear because it can be tightened or loosened to fit, simply by moving the buckles on the straps. The torch adjusts by 120 degrees, and choosing levels of brightness is easy. A flick of the switch selects between 18, eight or two LEDs, all powered by three AAA batteries, which last up to 36 hours.
This headlight is a great piece of kit to have in the garage for working on DIY jobs. Store it in your glovebox, though, and it could be handy if the car breaks down after dark.
