Are you ready for some...

Are you ready for some black magic? Car care giant Turtle Wax has launched its latest product to help get your exterior trim back to its best again.

Even if it has painted bumpers, your vehicle will have plenty of plastic that needs protecting from the elements ò€“ everything from spoiler lips to wing mir-rors, wheelarch trim and the scuttle on which the windscreen wiper blades rest.

Restorative Black Bumper and Trim Wax is part of the companyò€™s Platinum Series range, and is presented in a 500ml bottle. To see how effective it is, we put the newcomer up against our Product Honours 2007 champion: Turtle Waxò€™s Black in a Flash. For starters, there is a difference in price; at Ò£5.99, Restorative Black Bumper and Trim Wax is nearly twice as much as Black in a Flash.

We applied both to the plastic trim on our Kia Ceeò€™d. The new product comes in traditional wax form, so you will need a cloth. Black in a Flash is exclusively an aerosol, and is much easier to apply.

After six weeks, both were performing well, with the trim in as new condition. The choice depends on the type of application you prefer ò€“ but either way, Restorative Black Bumper and Trim Wax is a worthy addition to the Turtle Wax range.
