DUST off your shoulder pads – the Eighties are back in fashion. That’s according to British Car Auctions, which expects models from the era to fetch thousands at its classic sale in Blackbushe, Surrey, on 26 February. It says new BBC TV drama Ashes To Ashes, an Eighties sequel to Life On Mars which features an Audi Quattro (above) instead of a Ford Cortina, should also boost their appeal.

Drugs shame of teen drivers
NEW research by safety campaign group Brake has revealed that nearly 10 per cent of young motorists admit they have driven while on drugs. One in three of the 17-24-year-olds questioned also said they had carried out a blind overtaking manoeuvre, while half of the 533 motorists had used a mobile phone at the wheel.
Ministers scrap road bridge tolls
TOLLS for crossing the Forth and Tay road bridges are being scrapped and replaced with funding directly from the Scottish Government. The decision to make all bridges in Scotland free to use will result in 33 of the 104 administration staff being made redundant.
