It"s the face of the future from Mitsubishi!

Say hello to the new Outlander GT, revealed at the 2009 New York Motor Show. Though the model is described as a prototype,a spojkesperson told us that this model shows almost exactly how the facelifted model will look when it goes on sale in the UK early next year.

This show car is powered by a new 3.0-litre V6, tuned to offer a blend of fuel efficiency and performance.

The model will also showcase a

range of new technologies, including Idle Neutral Logic, that

automatically shifts the gearbox into neutral when the car is at a

standstill, so saving valuable fuel.

The car also features Mitsubishi"s proven four wheel drive technology, and a new paint finish, called Diamond White.

There"s

no word on when these improvements are likely to come to the UK,

however, it"s thought the facelifted model could be on sale as early as

January 2010, priced from ÷£23,000.
