Marcus Gronholm and team-mate Mikko Hirvonen scored a one-two finish in the Rally of New Zealand to give Ford its first WRC manufacturers’ championship for 27 years.

The Finns have dominated the series since drivers’ champ Sebastien Loeb injured himself in training. “It’s great to win the rally and secure the world title for Ford on the same day,” said Gronholm. MotoGP star Valentino Rossi (below) finished in 11th position.
