Just look what BMW has under wraps for the Frankfurt Motor Show!

A diehard James Bond...

A diehard James Bond fan has reportedly shelled out Ò£200,000 for a DBS... that doesnò€™t work! The car in question cost Ò£37,500 more than the list price, but itò€™s not just a random wreck. Itò€™s the model written off by an Aston engineer during filming of the latest Bond epic ò€“ Quantum of Solace ò€“ which opens on 31 October.

The front end will be...

The front end will be slightly toned down and the unusual sliding rear doors are set to disappear, but the Omega will definitely retain the bold profile and unusual rear end of the striking prototype. The car will debut at the 2007 Frankfurt show and Vauxhall hopes to have it in dealers by the end of that year.

Mercedes is raising...

Mercedes is raising its profile in Detroit with this dramatic sculpture previewing the CLS Concept which is due later this year. And the futuristic design is no accident, not only does the sculpture preview the next CLS, it also gives the strongest hints yet on Mercedesò€™ future styling plans.

This impressive sculpture of the still secret model is the first official look at the popular saloon, due to hit the road at the end of this year.

As well as sporting a dramatic new grille, the car appears to get more dramatic looking bodywork, with flared wheelarches, and a series of bold lines that run along the carò€™s flanks.

Sharing some of its surface angles with the new Mercedes E-Class, the only part of the design that remains completely hidden from view is the cars headlamps. These, like those fitted to the E-Class, are expected to take a more angular form than currently offered ò€“ and will be LED equipped.

The biggest talking point on the concept is undoubtedly the SLS-AMG and Blue Zero concept inspired front-grille, based around the much bigger central Mercedes badge, while around back the sculpture gets rear fenders borrowed from the new E-Class coupe.

Mercedes officials also announced at the unveil that the firm is looking to begin building cars with a more retro, 1930ò€™s inspired design over the coming years.

But as for the CLS, all will be revealed later in the year, when the German manufacturer unveil its concept of the real thing.
