Mika Hakkinen is the latest star to confirm his participation; the 1998 and 1999 Formula One world champion will be driving a mouthwatering array of Mercedes racing cars from past and present generations.
The Finn, who"s currently competing for the firm in the German DTM touring car championship, will join six other former F1 world champs at Goodwood. Nigel Mansell, Sir Jack Brabham, Sir Jackie Stewart, Damon Hill and Alan Jones will all be in action, along with John Surtees - the only man to hold world crowns on two wheels and four.
Festival organiser Lord March said: "It"s just fantastic to have so many champions to celebrate this year"s theme, which is "Racing for Glory - A Century of Grands Prix". So much talent in one small area is a real treat for motorsport fans." Other drivers confirmed to appear at the event on 7-9 July include current F1 stars David Coulthard, Jenson Button and Nico Rosberg, plus a variety of past champions from a range of racing disciplines.
