That"s the slang name for turning back a car"s odometer to make it read a lower mileage. The practice increases the value of the vehicle when it"s put up for sale. Our sting involved convincing an experienced clocker that we wanted to use his "mileage correction" services on two cars, with no questions asked. He was happy to help, and we would have netted at least ÷£3,000 profit if we"d sold them on.
