This is the Corvette...
This is the Corvette ZR1, and its supercharged 6.2-litre V8 engine delivers an incredible 611bhp and 807Nm of torque.
Revealed in issue 875...
Revealed in issue 875, the car is a thinly disguised production model set to go on sale next summer. It"s expected to be powered by a 3.0-litre engine - and even the stylish exterior finish might find its way on to the options list.
Design chief Adrian van Hooydonk said: "The matt finish helps you to see the surface changes on the Z4. We already provide a similar finish on our motorbikes, and it"s feasible for the production model if the demand is there."
But not everything on the car is destined for the showroom. The interior layout - pictured here for the first time - is a retrimmed version of the Z4 Roadster. According to van Hooydonk, the two-seater was only finished a couple of weeks before the show, as a hard-topped variant of the standard convertible wasn"t originally planned.
"The Z3 Coup탩 divided people. The Z4 model has better proportions and is a totally different proposition," he said.
