That"s right, the new Gino pays homage to the original Mini, thanks to its dominant chrome grille and big round headlights. However, the car is based on modern underpinnings, and could be offered as a five-door - unlike the illustrious Brit.

Meanwhile, a company famous for its luxuriously appointed - real - Mini line-up is back and raring to go. Radford made its name more than 40 years ago with its Mini de Ville, and the car hit the headlines at the time as it was snapped up by celebrities such as the Beatles and Britt Ekland.

Now, a new generation of owners can personalise the current model thanks to the London-based coachbuilder. The sumptuous runaround offers a range of bespoke options, including a 265bhp engine conversion, lowered suspension, unique alloy wheels and colour-co-ordinated bodywork.

The Cooper S (right) also gets extra instrumentation, luxurious carpets and Alcantara upholstery. But all the add-ons come at a price - the car will set you back around í‚á£30,000.
