The Ferrari star suffered...
The Ferrari star suffered a small water leak to his engine as he raced to an apparently untroubled win at the season opener in Australia.
Ferrari claims the V8 – which has to last for qualifying and
the race in Malaysia, too – was undamaged. But Raikkonen
has admitted he’s concerned it might have to be changed,
therefore losing him 10 slots on the starting grid.
The team again proved its strength by running consistently at the front during testing at the Sepang circuit, with Raikkonen impressing on the first two days, and team-mate Felipe Massa the second two. However, the sensation of the session was Anthony Davidson who finished third for Super Aguri. The Brit once again eclipsed countryman Jenson Button.
The Honda driver was testing some modifications to his
car in an attempt to sort out the handling problems he suffered in Australia. He said: “There were a lot of new aerodynamic parts and we have made an improvement. But it did not solve all the problems. We still have a long way to go, so it may not change much in Malaysia.”
