The new Skoda Fabia has failed to earn a full five-star safety rating for adult protection in Euro NCAP crash tests. While key rivals such as the Vauxhall Corsa, Peugeot 207 and Renault Clio have achieved this feat, the Fabia scored four.

The firm has facelifted the award-winning model, and here are the first official shots of the result! A sharper grille and headlights lead the changes, while new colours and hi-tech safety equipment will also feature.
Launched at next week"s Frankfurt Motor Show, the new Accord has extra chrome trim and sporty details. At the rear, the saloon gets modified tail-lights, while the estate has longer roof rails, plus chrome trim around the windows.
Inside, both models feature reworked dials, a redesigned gearstick, a sporty steering wheel and voice-recognition sat-nav, which can calculate traffic jam-busting routes. Honda also claims this is the first machine in Europe to offer a Lane Keeping Assist System, which automatically prevents the car from drifting on motorways.
The engine range is unchanged, but the 2.0-litre i-VTEC petrol model now uses a computer-controlled throttle. Prices will start at í‚á£17,000 when the Accord hits showrooms in January.
