The firm plans to beam...

The firm plans to beam individual broadcasts to home televisions. They will be hosted by brand specialists who answer queries on the spot. At trials witnessed by Auto Express, a buyer in a mock-up house in London chatted with a dealer in Farnborough, Hants - 40 miles away - via a TV.

As well as showing videos and facts on the Civic Type R, the salesman chatted through buying options live - just like in our picture. "As customers talk to a real person, the deal is far more engaging," said marketing boss Simon Thompson.

The service will be available to digital satellite viewers via their remote control by this time next year.
