British environment minister Ben Bradshaw explained: "Petrol fumes from service stations contribute to air pollution and lead to smog in warm weather. Fitting new equipment which can capture these fumes will help to cut risks to public health and the environment."

Itò€™s the most expensive car ever to sell at auction. This black 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa has just been bought at the famous Leggenda e Passione auction in Maranello by an unknown bidder. Selling for a record ò‚¬9.02 million, the historic Ferrari broke the previous record by ò‚¬1.98, a mark set at the same event last year.

The model is actually a revised version of the company"s rather bizarrely named Beauty Leopard coupé, and its designers took inspiration from a variety of sources. Alfa Romeo Brera-style triple headlamps, two-door Subaru Impreza-like proportions and an Audi-inspired deep grille are all prominent features of the new compact model from the up-and-coming brand.

The second Touareg...

The second Touareg, which at first glance looks like another convertible SUV, was on component firm Webasto"s stand. However, its full length red canvas top is in fact a fitted sunshade which slides back electrically to reveal panoramic glass underneath. Called the Hattrick, the vehicle also includes a three-way opening tailgate.

Bosses said the car shows what they can offer volume makers.
