This is the most powerful...

This is the most powerful Elise Lotus has ever built. Called the SC, it has a 217bhp 1.8-litre supercharged engine and can sprint from 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds. Top speed is 150mph.

The powerplant is a modified version of the Exige S’s unit, and features a smaller supercharger and no intercooler. These changes allow better packaging and an uninterrupted view out of the rear window. On sale in January, the SC will cost ÷£32,550.

Lotus has also launched a performance pack for the Exige S. Priced ÷£3,000, it boosts the power output by 20bhp to 237bhp.
