Volvo has updated its groundbreaking C70.
The worldò€™s first four-seater hard-top convertible, when it was launched in early 2006, has been given an extensive redesign inside and out ò€“ and will bare all at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
A reworked front end takes inspiration from the curvaceous S60 concept, first seen at Januaryò€™s Detroit expo. New front wings give the nose a more distinctive wedge-like profile, while a reshaped bonnet, grille and headlights create a pronounced ò€˜Vò€™ shape when viewed from head on.
At the rear, new LED taillights offer a more modern look. And to further increase its road presence, a dramatic Flamenco Red Pearl paint has been introduced.
Inside, a revamped instrument panel gets a wider and sleeker design, while the seats are upholstered in an even softer leather for increased comfort.
The engine line-up remains untouched, with a choice of two petrols and two diesels, ranging from the 134bhp 2.0D to the 227bhp turbocharged T5, while the three-part metal roof folds into the boot in 30 seconds.
Full details, including prices and exact specification will be released closer to the on-sale date in early 2010.
