Most motorists will have a servicing horror story. So what can you do to avoid a nasty experience of your own? Well, there are a number of steps you can take – although firstly you will need to decide where you’re going to get the work carried out.

Spanish squad SEAT took a clean sweep of World Touring Car Championship victories in Italy last weekend. Ex-BTCC champ Yvan Muller claimed the win in race one at Monza, extending his title lead. Team- mate Gabriele Tarquini won heat two, although he cut one of the chicanes, giving him a grid penalty of five places at the next race at Okayama, Japan, on 24 October.

We attached a hose to...

We attached a hose to the connector on the top of the brush and ran the water. The useful tool has a broom-style brush head and an extendable handle, so you can easily reach the far side of a car roof easy. The extension also makes scrubbing side panels simple. So not only does this product stop your hands freezing in cold water, it also takes the strain out of getting to awkward areas.

The bristles were soft and left no marks on our test panels. CarPlan claims it wants drivers to be able to wash their vehicle in comfort – and with this cracking brush, the firm has certainly won us over.
